New brake pads not working?
16 Dez. 2009 17:37
Hello!
I'd like to thank you guys that helped me when I had carburator problems. After buying the kit from mainjet.de it works good now, and I was also finally able to reach the spark plug
But ofcourse, nothing good cannot come with some bad. I bought new brake pads at wemoto.co.uk
www.wemoto.com/bikes/Honda/XBR_500_F_G/8...BC_Standard_GG_Type/
But after mounting them, the wheel locks up! I tried several times, but the pad on the non piston side kept grabbing the wheel and this was before I had even pressed the hand brake to start pushing in the pistons. What could be the reason for this?
Its driving me mad!

Look for part 11 and part 13
.
They are very often rusty and doesn't move in the caliper.
Sometimes it is done, if you clean both and put new grease on it.
But the best possibility is to buy a new part 11, (Honda nr 45111MA3006)
(Normaly you need for changing also 2 x part 15 (Honda nr 45133166016), and 1 x part 14 (Honda nr 45133MA3006) cause this parts are often shredded.)
If you don't get this parts from your local Honda Dealer, you can order all parts from Mainjet ( Part 15 Mainjet / Part 11 Mainjet )

Auf Harri ist einfach Verlaß!
Und so schön mit Verweis auf die Explosionszeichnung hätt ich das wohl nicht gemacht. Bravo!
Schöne Weihnachen schon mal für alle, dies brauchen können.

Hello!
Those parts look like they're in good condition, but I think I need to open up.
Anyone know where to finding a guide about rebuilding the caliper?
There is supposed to be on here in www.xbr.de .
